Outerhope at NYC Popfest 2012

A project by Micaela Benedicto Send a Message

Outerhope began in the summer of 2004 when siblings Michael and Micaela Benedicto sat down to create melodies with a guitar and a piano. Inspired by the decade of their childhood, they wrote about lost youth, forgotten plans, and imagined places. They debuted with the album Strangely Paired in 2005, followed by A Day for the Absent in 2009.

Project Description

Dear Friends,

The NYC Popfest is an annual celebration of indie pop music from different parts of the world.  It is a festival held in New York City for 5 days in May.  Some of our favorite bands have played there in the past few years, including The Radio Dept, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The Drums, Go Sailor, and Rose Melberg among others.

This year, we were lucky enough to have been invited, making us the second Filipino band (after California-based Apple Orchard) to be included in the lineup. But the festival is drawing near, and we need to raise funds for our trip.

On the right side of this page are various ways we can offer you something special as gratitude for your help.  If there's anything you need to ask about the project, please get in touch with us at strangelypaired@gmail.com.

Thank you so much!

Mike and Mick
