Voice Of Tranquility
Voice Of Tranquility is a pure Filipino Melodic Death Metal/Thrash Metal band formed in 2004 from Taguig City, Philippines and was founded by Val Parco Caroche along with Arnie Jane Demano and Carl Justine Morales. The band has released 1 Demo in 2007 and 2 EPs in 2009 and a re-issue in 2013. Hails from Taguig, Philippines. Originally named Skit (December 2003), Paperdoll (Early 2005) and Charlotte (Mid 2005), composed of highschool friends from Saint Francis of Assisi College System (Taguig) and St. Ives School (Bagumbayan, Taguig), namely, Arnie "Rny" Jane Ortega on vocals, guitarist Carl Justine Morales, drummer Val Parco Caroche with guitarist Philmart Pilande and bassist Dexter Miranda who left due to conflict on their schedules. They started as a cover band, playing some Pinoy Rock, Nu Metal, Alternative, Gothic Metal and bands like Pantera, Saydie, Kittie, Paramita, Moonstar88, Imago, Drowning Pool,Korn, Finch and Evanescence. In December 2006, Val Parco Caroche decided to change the name to Voice Of Tranquility for some reasons and start gigging on the underground scene since then, and they got their first appearance / gig around 2006 in Harmony Bar in Ortigas, Pasig City. In 2007, they recorded a raw track Demo entitled Anal Sacrifice, recorded in an mp3 player only. Also in that year the band got some several line-up changes and since then, they went on the road to do some shows. February 2009, guitarist Carl Justine Morales re-united with the band and Miguel Fontiveros from a local glam metal group, joined the band to play bass. The band released their first EPentitled “The Army of Hades”. Recorded at Earbender Studios in Kawit Cavite. Mixed and Engineered by Macoy Manuel of SIN. The songs in the EP have been aired at RJ Underground Radio 105.9 FM - a Local FM Radio Station in Metro Manila, Philippines and Online Radio Stations and Podcast Shows – across the world like Metal Messiah Radio, Cebu Metal Online Radio from Cebu City, The World Metal Podcast from Guatemala and a lot more. The band had a several radio interview / guestings, RJ Underground Radio 105.9 FM, The Bel and Joey Show on Digradio (FormerNU 107) and more. Since then, they played numerous shows • gigs, in and out of the metro like: Gods of Metal, Red Horse Beer Rakista Rakrakan Series and Rakista Jam Tayo, Filipino Metal Magazine Launch Tour, Tower of Doom Event, Lamb of God – Wrath Album Listening Tour (Warner Music Philippines), Indiemand Events, to list a few. In February 2011, they added new guitarist Janjan Molina of Goredemise to fill in the lead and Rhthm section. In that year, the band was given a chance to be a part of 25 Local Loudest Bands to play for the annual Pulp Summer Slam XI – Resurrection at Amoranto Stadium, in Quezon City. (The Mecca of Rock in the Philippines) last April 30, 2011, featuring Anthrax, Death Angel, Hellyeah, and U.A.E's Finest Death Metal Band: Nervecell. The group has been featured on Pulp Magazine's September 2011 Issue. The band also played at Skarlet Jazz Kitchen, Timog Avenue, Quezon City for Pulp Magazine / Pulp Live World's Arch Enemy - Khaos Legions Album Launch. In 2012 they played for Pulp Magazine / Pulp Live World's Megadeth's Pre-Concert Show in South Bar, Las Pinas and around November 2012, their founder / drummer Val Parco Caroche was nominated on 'Stig Awards formerly known as Stagg Awards, organized by biggest music retailers in the Philippines (The Music Source and Lyric). Voice Of Tranquility's 2nd release entitled "The Army of Hades II" (Re-issue of their 2009 EP for International Distriubtion) under Bhumidhuka Production - Malaysia was released on January 12, 2013 in Philippines, January 16, 2013 in Malaysia (Worldwide Release), January 21, 2013 in Thailand and February 17, 2013 in Indonesia. As a part of their 9th Year Anniversary Celebration. The Band announced on their facebook page that they will entering the studio again for their full length album release by early 2014.
